Around 2-2.5 hrs drive from Chitose Airport, depending on the weather. This world-class ski area is regarded as having the lightest and driest powder in Japan delivering an average of 9m of snow. An ideal destination for families and offers a quieter more relaxed atmosphere than other resorts. Known for its stable weather and bluebird days, the perfectly groomed runs await beginners and intermediates; while more advanced skiers can challenge themselves on the off-piste powder areas and steeps.

The All Mountain lift pass gives you access to both ski zones. During the peak season, the ski area offers skiing from 8:30am to 8:00pm every day. Night skiing is a spectacular way to spend an evening and an amazing view of the town as you ski/ ride.
Furano Ski Resort is 2-2.5 hrs from New Chitose airport. You can either take a bus or a taxi from the airport. Pre-booking is recommended especially for peak periods.
Eating out is delicious, fun and affordable with a variety of Japanese and western style restaurants and cafes in both the ski village and the main township.
For those who like to get out on the town, there are a few bars within some of the hotels and pensions, and with Furano town only minutes away you can find some funky bars, fun Japanese izakayas (pubs), karaoke rooms and even some dancing!
