The 282 hectare resort’s north facing slopes keep the snow in top condition throughout the season. On average, more than 8 metres of dry powder snow falls each season. The resort is renowned for its quality grooming and there are plenty of runs left ungroomed for those who love powder.

Appi lift passes are available at the resort centre and can be purchased online, or arranged through your accommodation hosts. One pass provides lift access to all resort areas with the choice of a day pass or multi-day pass. Night Skiing is available on the lower slopes.
Appi Kogen Ski Resort is 3.5hrs from Haneda airport. The easiest way is to use a JR Rail pass to ride the JR Hayabusa bullet train from Tokyo station to Morioka (~2hrs) and then jump on a bus direct to Appi (~50min).
Appi comprises of hotels and lodges centred at the base of the mountain, with most restaurants, services and facilities situated within hotels. Accessing the village on foot is easy as all amenities, services, accommodations, and ski lifts are a short walk away. There are a couple of bars within the hotels open till midnight, and private karaoke rooms are available for hire.
